Should One Point Out to a Teacher That She Told an Embarrassing Story About a Student

Question

If a teacher told an embarrassing story in class about a student from a parallel class, without mentioning a name or identifying details, but some of the girls understood whom it was about, and the matter reached that student and caused her great embarrassment — should she approach the teacher and point it out to her, out of concern that the teacher will continue telling embarrassing stories about her?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

Approach the teacher respectfully, and tell her that it caused you embarrassment, because the girls identified whom it was about.
