Telling a Father That His Son Occasionally Vapes

I know that an 11- or 12-year-old boy is occasionally vaping. Am I allowed to tell his father, and if so, how should I tell him?

It would be best not to mention anything, since we do not know how the father would react towards the child, and if the child continues the father will anyway find out.
