Buying a Tablet During the Nine Days

I would like to buy a tablet device for my elderly mother so that she can listen to Torah classes, etc. My question is whether I may purchase it during the Nine Days in order to set it up with the necessary apps and filters, so that in practice I will give it to her immediately after Tisha B’Av?

It is permitted to buy it now and give it to her after the Nine Days.
