Buying Fabric During the Nine Days for Sewing Afterward
Question
Is it permitted to buy fabrics for sewing a dress during the Nine Days, if the dress will only be sewn after Tisha B’Av? The seamstress does not sew new clothes during the Nine Days, but she wants to have the fabrics with her so that she can begin immediately afterward.
