Opening a Computer Room on Chol HaMoed

Question

I manage a computer room. Every year on Chol HaMoed I lock it so that people will not enter. May I open it on Chol HaMoed, since it serves the clients for the needs of the festival, and there are other computer rooms that are open, so I may incur a loss if the clients switch to them permanently? It should be noted that the room operates completely automatically, and I do not operate it on Chol HaMoed.

Answer

Hello and blessings

You may open it and announce that it is intended for permitted uses, such as needs of the festival or preventing a loss.

The fact that the clients may become accustomed to going to other rooms is also a reason for permitting it.
