Working on Chol HaMoed to Prevent Pressure After the Festival

Is a self-employed person who is obligated to meet deadlines, and if he does not work on Chol HaMoed will have to work overtime after the festival, considered someone engaged in preventing a loss?

As it appears from the question, you will not suffer a loss from not working during the Moed; it will only require effort after the Moed. In such a situation, it is forbidden to work on Chol HaMoed.
