An Appointment for a Passport on Chol HaMoed

After waiting for about three months, I was given an appointment at the embassy during Chol HaMoed, for the purpose of applying for a passport and perhaps also an identity card. At the appointment I will need to submit documents, pay, provide a fingerprint, and perhaps sign an additional form. If I do not come, receiving the passport will be delayed by several months. However, I do not have an urgent need for the passport for travel; it is mainly a personal desire to receive it. Is it permissible to come to the appointment and do these actions on Chol HaMoed?

Shalom u'vrachah 

It is forbidden to perform melachah on Chol HaMoed when there will be no loss if it is postponed until after the moed.
