Canceling a vacation – Chol HaMoed

I booked a vacation for Thursday, which is Isru Chag, and afterward it turned out that the vacation place has no mamad (reinforced security room). I would like to cancel or change the vacation location. Am I allowed, on Chol HaMoed, to deal with canceling or changing the vacation on the basis of davar ha’aved (preventing a financial loss)?
