Using Someone Else’s Prescription for Medication

Question

Is it permitted to buy prescription medications through someone else?
The problem is that, in effect, this is subsidized by his health fund.
And what is the halacha if he belongs to the same health fund as I do?

Answer

Hello and blessings.

If he belongs to a different health fund, it is forbidden.

If he belongs to the same health fund and is entitled to the same benefit as you, it is permitted.
