Buying clothing during the Nine Days

Question

Is it permissible during the Nine Days to buy a garment over which the blessing of Shehecheyanu is not recited, and to wear it for the first time after Tisha B’Av, if there is a reasonable chance that the size I need will no longer be available afterward?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

Even clothing over which the blessing of Shehecheyanu is not recited should not be purchased during the Nine Days.

However, if there is indeed a concern that the garments will no longer remain available, it is permitted to order them.
