No Clean Shirt Left — The Nine Days

Question

A person has one shirt left to use during the Nine Days, and it turned out to be unfit to wear because it is too large. Is he permitted to wash one shirt for the remaining days, or to buy a new shirt?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

During the week in which Tisha B’Av falls, it is preferable to buy rather than to wash.
