Listening to Songs Copied Illegally

I would like to know if it is permissible to listen to songs from albums that were not purchased but transferred. Is this considered theft?

According to the instructions of the Gaon, Rabbi Amram Fried, shlita, it is forbidden to listen to songs and other content that have been copied illegally.
Only songs that are no longer sold may be copied. It is also permissible to listen to them if they have been copied.
