Using a Salt Shaker in a Non-Kosher Place
Question
While staying in a hotel or guesthouse owned by a non-observant Jew, and the salt shaker likely hasn't been immersed, can it be used?
Answer
A glass or metal salt shaker requires immersion before use.
However, one made of plastic does not require immersion and can be used.
