Purchases Before a Wedding During the Nine Days

Question

Is it permitted to buy glasses during the Nine Days for the family members of a bride who is getting married in a month, with the intention of wearing them for the first time at the wedding?

Answer

Hello and blessings 

This is not preferable in the first instance. 

It is not proper to buy during the Nine Days even with the intention of using the new item only afterward, if one is not under duress.
