Medical Secretariat during Chol HaMoed

Hello and blessings. I work as a secretary at a health clinic, and I have run out of vacation days for this year. The management approved my leave during Chol HaMoed, but I will lose money if I do not work. Is it permissible for me to work, and is it allowed from the outset? Thank you.
