Unpicking a Hem on Chol Hamoed
Question
If someone notices during Chol Hamoed that their pants are short, is it permissible to unpick the hem on the pants, and is it then allowed to iron the hem area?

It is permissible to unpick the hem for the needs of the festival. It is also permissible to iron the pants afterward.
