Meat Lid on Pareve Pot

Question

Hello. If I put a fleshig lid on a parve pot to hard boil eggs, is the parve pot now fleshig? The lid was used to heat chicken soup a few minutes before.

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question!

If the lid had meaty reidue that toched the praveh pot then it does make the pot meaty if however it was clean then then the parveh pot remains parveh.

With regard to the food, you would need shishim (sixty times) against the entire lid, in order for it to be considered as Parveh, to be able to mix it into milky foods.
