Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
Even though the blender in question was designated as “meat,” your “dairy hot dish” remains kosher. However, you will have to kasher the blender.
Allow me to explain.
When a utensil or appliance was not used within the last 24 hrs., it is known as “eino ben yomo,” meaning, “not used today” or “older than a day.” When a utensil has not been used in 24hrs it cannot pass on any significant taste (whether kosher or non-kosher) that it absorbed in a previous use to the foods it is currently being used with. So in your case, even though the blender was used for meat, any meat residue or taste in the blender walls will not affect the dairy food. Any taste that an eino ben yomo appliance could pass on to the food it is currently being used with is known as “ta’am lifgam,” meaning, “a bad taste,” which, as mentioned, does not affect the food.
Nevertheless, you will have to kasher your blender before the next use, since the blender did, ultimately, absorb both meat and dairy.
A few final points: if the dairy food used in the meat blender contained raw onions or other similarly sharp foods, the status of the dairy food might be problematic. So too, how to kasher a blender will depend on what the blender is made from. Feel free to reach out to us for more assistance if needed.
