Covering a Hole Left After Sealing an Opening

Question

I asked the rabbi if I could seal a window or door when renovating my house, and the rabbi replied that a thin hole should be left. The question is whether it is permissible to cover the hole later with a picture or a cabinet on both sides?

Answer

It is permissible if the covering is not attached.
