Covering for a Tripod on Passover
Question
I was told that a cover is effective even for a tripod on Passover. I always knew that utensils used for chametz [or prohibition] are not used on Passover unless they have undergone koshering, and the cover is merely a stringency in case something remains between the cracks.

Hello,
There is no general rule that requires koshering and then covering; rather, each case depends on its circumstances.
However, as you noted, I definitely did not recommend covering a tripod, because in practice, it tears and gets wet.
