Tzedakah for a Person Who Receives a Pension

Question

May someone who has a pension receive tzedakah?

Answer

A person whose livelihood is secure may not receive tzedakah, but if he does not have enough for his living expenses [even if he has a salary or a pension], he may receive tzedakah.
