Calculating Ma’aser Kesafim from Stock Trading
Question
Hello, Rabbi,
I wanted to ask a question regarding ma’aser kesafim.
I sometimes buy stocks; sometimes I make a profit and sometimes I incur a loss.
My question is: regarding ma’aser kesafim, may I offset the loss against the profit, or for the transaction in which I made a profit must I in any case separate ma’aser?
Thank you in advance.

Shalom u’vrachah
There is no need to separate ma’aser from every profit.
One should set a time each year at which you calculate the total profits and losses, and from the net profit you should pay ma’aser.
