Lukewarm Water on a Hotplate Before Shabbat
Question
Is it permitted to place lukewarm water on the hotplate before Shabbat so that it will heat up on Shabbat?

Strictly speaking, it is permitted.
However, it is proper to boil the water before Shabbat.
