Celebrating a Bar Mitzvah Within a Year of a Brother’s Passing

Hello Rabbi, my brother passed away on 29.7.26, and in about a month, on 15.10.26, my son will be called up to the Torah. During the mourning period, am I permitted to hold a celebration with joyful songs, drums, shofarot, a paytan, and the like, or is it proper to make a modest event without a large celebration?

There is no year of mourning for a brother, only 30 days of mourning. 

Therefore, you may celebrate the Bar Mitzvah as you wish.
