Removing a Game Mixed with Objects — Borer
Question
At the end of the meal, my wife gathered up the plastic tablecloth on the table and saw from the outside that there was a game inside it. Is it permitted to open the plastic and take out the game, or is this prohibited as borer on Shabbat?
Answer
Shalom u’vrachah.
Removing the game, which is mixed together with all the meal leftovers, is included in the prohibition of borer.
However, it is permitted to remove it in order to play with it immediately.
