Face-Recognition Intercom — Shabbat

The neighbor who lives next to me installed an intercom system on the door (an electrical system) with automatic opening by means of facial recognition. Every time someone passes near the door, the system turns on, and if it does not recognize a face, a message is heard: "No face detected."

Is it permitted to pass there on Shabbat in order to leave my home and enter it, while the system is operating?

I saw that the Rabbi permitted someone who asked regarding a neighbor’s camera that turns on when one passes by it. Is this case different, since here the camera’s light also turns on and it also emits a sound?

I try to be stringent in accordance with the view of the Chazon Ish regarding electricity on Shabbat. Can the activation be defined as mit’asek or as a pesik reisha delo nicha lei and thereby be permitted, or is there another reason to permit it?

If you cannot arrange for him to disable it before Shabbat, you may pass there. 

According to the basic halachah, this is defined as akin to mit’asek, because you are occupied only with passing by and are not engaged in identification by the intercom. However, one should be stringent when possible.
