Carrying the Four Species on Shabbat
Question
On Shabbat during the festival of Sukkot, I noticed that my Four Species were left in a problematic place, and there is a concern that they might be damaged if they remain there. Am I allowed to take them from there? And is it permissible to take them to show a friend?
Answer
In our times, the Four Species are considered muktzeh because people are careful to preserve them, and therefore they are muktzeh due to their value, and it is forbidden to carry them for any purpose.
