Sephardic Mezuzah for Ashkenazi
Question
An Ashkenazi wants to buy a mezuzah from his friend in the kollel, but the buyer is Ashkenazi and the friend writes in Sephardic script. Can he buy a mezuzah written in Sephardic script?

One must adhere to Ashkenazi script.

According to the Mishnah Berurah, Siman 36, the letters shin and nun in the script of Ilish are invalid.
