Slander about the Waiters

Hello, A person is in a kosher restaurant with his wife, and despite asking the waiters several times (let's say 5) to come to him, they did not approach. His wife is starting to lose patience and complains to him. Is it permissible for the person to say, "I asked the waiters five times to come, and they are not coming," or would that be considered slander?

It is permissible to say this. 

If they are observant people, say it with justification. For example: "I asked them 5 times already, but it seems there is a big load today."
