Damage to a Towel; Traveling with 2 Children on a Bus

Question

Hello and blessings!
1. I stayed in a vacation cabin during a family vacation, and while using a towel, my ring got caught in it and a small thread came out of the towel. This happened to me twice. Is there a need to inform the owner of the vacation cabin about this?
2. When I travel with two small children (under age 5) on a bus, may I ask an unfamiliar adult on the bus to serve as an accompanying person, so that I will be exempt from paying for the child? (Even though I remain the sole person supervising the children.)
Thank you very much!!

Answer

Hello and blessings

1. You are exempt from paying. [This is minor damage that occurred in the course of normal use, which people certainly waive.]

2. It is permitted.
