Stains During Breastfeeding
Question
My wife is fully breastfeeding, 4 months after giving birth.
She saw pink stains only when wiping on paper.
The stains were larger than the size of a shekel coin,
but lighter than menstrual blood,
and there was none at all on her underwear...
The stains continued for a few hours and then stopped.
Does this render her impure?
What could it be?

Answer
Hello and blessings.
Sometimes there is something to attribute it to, such as if she ate beets and the like, or wore new red underwear, which can sometimes leave a light-colored dye on the body.
If there is nothing to attribute it to, the woman becomes impure.
Even with full breastfeeding, some women see a period as usual, and some see a small amount every month. Therefore, one cannot rely on this to assume that it is not blood.
Sometimes a change in breastfeeding, a break in breastfeeding for a few hours, returning to work, the exertion of walking, or carrying something heavy can cause a small discharge of blood.
