Physical Contact Between a Stepmother and a Son

Honorable Rabbi, shalom. I am divorced and have a child, and, thank G-d, I have remarried. My son will soon be 13, and I would like to know whether the laws of shmirat negiah apply to them. Thank you in advance.

Shalom u’vrachah.
Since your wife is not your son’s biological mother, the woman and the son must be careful to avoid physical contact, as is the case between any unrelated man and woman.
