Acceptance of Shabbat by Children through Acceptance by Father and Mother

Question: On Friday, after my wife lit the candles and I accepted Shabbat, I discovered that I forgot to turn off the oven with the fish (the fish was in the oven). Am I allowed to tell my young child to turn off the oven?
