Halachic Difference Between a Perforated and Non-Perforated Pot
Question
What is the difference between a perforated pot and a non-perforated pot?
Answer
In several laws, a non-perforated pot differs from a perforated one – it appears that there is no prohibition of spontaneous growth, no prohibition of sowing, guarding, and working, and it is not forbidden at the time of biur if not destroyed. It is uncertain whether it has the sanctity of the Sabbatical year.
