Peeling Tomatoes in the Sabbatical Year
Question
Is it permissible to peel tomatoes sanctified with the holiness of the Sabbatical year?
Answer
It is forbidden to peel fruits and vegetables that are not usually peeled because by peeling, the peel becomes waste.
