Onion cut with a meat knife and cutting from the part that was not touched
Question
When an onion is cut with a meat knife, will cutting a small part of the onion make the rest pareve?
Answer
For Ashkenazim, the entire onion becomes meaty, while for Sephardim, cutting 2.4 cm is sufficient.
