An Onion Was Cut with a Dairy Knife and Put into Soup

Question

I prepared lentil soup (pareve) in a dairy pot that was not ben yomo. The soup included an onion (a sharp food) that I cut with a dairy knife. Most likely I have never used this knife for hot dairy in a kli rishon, but I am not completely sure; it is a knife used mainly for fruits and vegetables. When the soup was boiling hot, the children served themselves from it with a meat ladle that was not ben yomo. What is the status of the ladle and the soup? I assume the pot is fine.

Answer

Hello and blessings

Everything is permitted.

Since it is not known that the knife was used with boiling hot dairy in a kli rishon, the knife is considered pareve.
