Baking an Onion in a Meat Oven That Is Not Ben Yomo

An oven that was used for meat foods a few years ago: Is it permitted to prepare an onion in it (a sharp food, pareve) in order to eat it with dairy food?

It is permitted, if one uses a pareve baking tray.
