Using a Meat Dishwasher for Dairy Utensils

Question

A dishwasher in which meat utensils were washed: is it permitted to wash in it
1. dairy utensils that are not ben yomo?
2. pareve utensils?
And what is the law if the dishwasher itself is also not ben yomo?

Answer

One may not use a dishwasher designated for one type for washing utensils of the other type. After the fact, if no meat or milk residue remained, the utensils that were washed do not become prohibited.
