Meat Soaked in a Dairy Utensil

Question

A dairy utensil that had not been used within the past 24 hours: I put salt in it, then poured boiling water over it to dissolve the salt, mixed it with cold water, and placed meat inside it for several hours.
Did it become forbidden?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

If the mixture of water and salt was not truly salty, it does not have the halachic status of soaking in brine, but rather of soaking in regular water, and everything remains kosher.
