Chicken Soaked in Lukewarm Water

Question

A dairy plastic utensil that had not been used within the last 24 hours, in which chicken was soaked with warm water (not hot enough that the hand recoils).

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

The utensil remains dairy, since the water was not hot but merely lukewarm.

If the chicken was soaked there for 24 hours, its status is like cooking, and the utensil becomes prohibited.
