Filling a Coffee Jar - Tevilat Kelim

Question

Hello to the honorable Rabbi,

Is it permitted to transfer coffee from one glass container to another glass container, when both are half full? Is this considered a new use that requires tevilat kelim, or is it a continuation of use in the same utensil, and even though it extends the use, it is permitted as long as the first supply has not run out?

With blessing and thanks

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

It is forbidden to fill coffee into a jar that has not been immersed, even when part of its original contents remains.

It is permitted to use the coffee that was purchased together with the jar from the outset, and there is no need to empty the coffee and immerse it before use. .
