Kashering a Barrel That Contained Non-Kosher Cognac
Question
Hello, honorable Rabbi,
I wanted to ask about kashering a barrel or large container that contained non-kosher cognac, which is an alcoholic beverage made from wine.
How can the barrel/container be kashered? Is it sufficient to do filling and pouring out (filling it with water and replacing it), or is an actual kashering process through hagalah required?
Thank you very much!

Filling and pouring out three times is sufficient: replace the water every 24 hours, three times.
