Chicken Residue in a Blender

Question

I have a meat blender, and I use it for grinding chicken (meat) and also for grinding fish. I wash it well, but sometimes a few string-like bits of chicken residue remain inside the blender blade, which are very difficult to remove, and I remove as much as possible. Is it permissible to grind fish in it in such a situation? In addition, if I grind pareve soup in the blender, does it become meat because of chicken residue that may have remained in the blender?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

One should remove everything possible, and render what remains unfit with soap.

In any case, even if the remnants were not rendered unfit, after grinding it is permitted to eat both fish in whose mixture a small amount of chicken remained, and pareve food in which a small amount of meat remained, since the remnants are nullified in sixty.
