Washing the House for Shabbat on Tisha B’Av

Tisha B’Av — is it permitted to wash the house for Shabbat?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah 

Washing the house on Tisha B’Av is the same as in any year. 

Ashkenazim have the custom not to wash the house on Tisha B’Av. Some Sephardic communities specifically have the custom to wash the floor after midday, in order to demonstrate faith in the Redemption.
