Setting the Shabbat Table on Tisha B’Av

Is it permitted today, on Tisha B’Av, after midday, to set the Shabbat table?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah 

No. One should not do anything associated with joy and honor on Tisha B’Av. 

Cooking, baking, and the like are permitted this year for the needs of Shabbat from midday onward.
