Fasting After a Kidney Tumor
Question
About two years ago, I had a kidney removed due to a cancerous tumor, Heaven forbid. My family doctor keeps telling me to try to drink a lot in order to protect the remaining kidney. Thank God, I function normally. Am I permitted to fast on Tisha B’Av?

It is forbidden to fast.
