Laundry for Someone Who Has Run Out of Clothes — The Nine Days

Question

I have run out of undershirts. Is it permitted to do laundry?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah 

During the week in which Tisha B’Av falls, it is preferable to buy a new undershirt and soil it so that it will not be considered new, rather than doing laundry.
