Is it permitted to wash and iron during the Nine Days?

Answer

Ashkenazim are prohibited from washing and ironing during the Nine Days. It is also forbidden to wear freshly laundered clothes, so it is necessary to prepare clothes by wearing each garment for a few minutes before the Nine Days.
