Cutting Nails on Rosh Chodesh on Friday

Question

Is it permitted to cut one’s nails on Rosh Chodesh when it falls on Erev Shabbat?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah 

According to the letter of the law, there is no prohibition. 

Those who have the custom not to cut their nails on Rosh Chodesh, following the custom of Rabbi Yehudah HaChasid, are accustomed to prohibit it even on Friday.
